For decades the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club has celebrated the best of interior design in Manhattan by transforming a luxury home into an elegant fusing of furniture, art, and even technology. And guess what? This year the party is coming to Dallas as the inaugural show house is being worked on as we speak at 5828 Woodland Drive in the heart of Preston Hollow. The showcase will last September 23 – October 25, and I am over-the-moon excited. I remember each year while I was living in New York City in the late 1970’s (I know. I’m dating myself) how exciting it was to get tickets to the show house and walk through each amazing highly decorated room that each carefully chosen designer was given to show off their talent. I am particularly excited to see the work of two of my favorites—Mark Sikes and Michelle Nussbaumer—as they always deliver. The ever-so-stylish Sikes from Los Angeles and Dallas’s own color queen? The possibilities are truly endless when they are involved. This is an event you will not want to miss as it is benefitting the Boys & Girls Club in addition to The Crystal Charity Ball and Dwell with Dignity.
