Meet Christy Berry
My Mission Is To Imagine, Educate, Explore & Celebrate Your Home.
A Note From Christy:
It is my hope that having you here on my personal page is the first step to getting to know one another. I wanted to take a moment to share with you why helping families buy and sell their homes is a job that I value and treasure.
Having grown up in the Midwest with a mother who adored antiques and redoing homes, I guess you can say that I came to love real estate honestly. I have worked everywhere from London to Wall Street and everywhere in between, but after obtaining my MBA and a PhD in family studies, residential real estate just seemed to make sense. I started on this path 15 years ago and haven’t looked back since.
I have spent my real estate career carefully curating teams that help me to best serve my clients. I started my career with Briggs/Freeman Sotheby's, co-founded my own firm, The Collective Residential, and eventually landed the gig as the opening broker for Compass Real Estate in Texas. During my time at Compass, I have focused exclusively on residential sales in the DFW area and have been named a top real estate agent for multiple years in a row.
Why Dallas? Why not Dallas? I love everything about the lifestyle here and enjoy sharing my intimate knowledge on the area’s rich culture, architecture, and charming character of the unique neighborhoods that are sprinkled throughout the city. I pride myself on providing exceptional, professional and comprehensive real estate services. I seek to always offer the highest level of expertise and outstanding representation to my valued clients as I possibly can. Referrals are 99 percent of my business, and I always feel like receiving them is the biggest compliment a client can give me.
In addition to those strong real estate roots, my husband of 37 years and I have five children that have helped us to truly understand the importance of home. Having remodeled three of our homes on purpose and being forced to redo a fourth due to the October 2019 Dallas tornado, I also have gotten to see the importance of a good neighborhood to rally around you in both the good times and the bad. Community is everything, and I believe that everyone deserves to find their perfect, little pocket within this big, bustling city.
Last but certainly not least, I believe that you can tell a lot about a person by what they do in their free time. When I am not spending time with my husband, kids, and grandkids, I am also committed to making DFW an even better place. Over the years, I have volunteered my time on the Texas Youth Lacrosse Board, The Dallas Zoo, and The Childcare Group. I currently serve on the board of the AT&T Performing Arts Center and am a member of The Crystal Charity Ball.
I hope that this little snippet of my life has helped to paint a picture of the person and the REALTOR® that I am. I look forward to you reaching out so that I now can learn a little bit about you thus leading us to finding your dream home together.
